Doesn't this mean there shouldn't be (or have been) a ban?

It means that I don't know. If sword did swear or verbally attacked someone in game after being warned, then yes. If he didn't then no. It is easy as that, bad thing is that we will never know what actually happened. What was clearly wrong was Fiendesses reaction to this situation

My point is that if you don't have enough information, you shouldn't follow through with the punishment.

EDIT: I guess even if you do follow through with it, it is only one more day, after all. Although, I suppose it is the principle of the matter.

I agree. But Hatchu had enough information (according to his version) and he action were based on that. It is possible he didn't act properly, but again, who knows. As for the ban itself, I talked with sword about it and we came to agreement and solved that part of the situation. Validity of that action still remains in question as does the whole mod situation

Since you have settled this with sword, I believe this topic has come near it end. You seem to be doing a swell job about things.

Even a convicted criminal is entitled the same right to a trial as anyone else when they commit an offense, and I am hardly a "convicted" offender. I believe the phrase is "innocent until proven guilty".

No matter the number of complaints you have, they must be verified before you can convict someone. Passing hasty judgements can never be condoned, and it is even worse when proceeding from someone in a position of power. I am saddened by your attitude throughout this situation, especially since you have told me over and over that you "fight for justice". Justice is not something that you can bend to fit your agenda...

Your statements remind me of a conversation that we had a while back regarding trolling.. and the location of trolling. (once again I can produce screenshots if necessary)

[11/17/2011 4:59:44 AM] Fiendess Of Fate: and that's it.

It is quite clearly stated here that while even you, yourself troll outside of VW... any trolling inside of the VW game is not permitted. This statement is, to me, clear vindication of any "trolling" or actions outside of the Vortex Wars game. You (the head moderator) stated that trolling, "insulting", and even "abuse" is permitted, as long as it is outside of the game. Unless of course.. you hold yourself to a different standard than the rest of us...

I feel that everyone has ignored major theme that I have addressed in all of my posts. That theme not revolving around my own actions, or the actions of Hatchu (even though both are vital to the situation) but the actions that occurred in the "appellate court", so to speak.
Everyone simply ignored my post... and addressed Belga's semi-rage.

As to the "my word against his word" point put forth by many... thats not really where we are at, at all. That situation has been dealt with (by Lopdo) and I believe that the facts of what happened have been made clear. Whether myself or Hatchu was right.. is beside the greater point; that point being this: Fiendess's actions necessitated the appeal to Lopdo.. and this behemoth of a forum topic. That should not have happened, and only did happen due to a personal vendetta that Fiendess seems to possess.
Fiendess has shown over the course of this issue, and the "rulebook" issue in the past.. that she is not looking out for a greater good. I am not going to speculate on what she is looking out for, but the hypocrisy present here certainly does not point to the benefit of the players.

For those of you who continue to not read my posts... I'll try to sum things up.

The problem was not merely with Hatchu, it was with Fiendess.

I think many people have paid attention to your concerns here Swordalchemist. Likewise, Lopdo took action and has also stated:
What was clearly wrong was Fiendesses reaction to this situation.

Your concerns were obviously not ignored. I am closing this thread.
