How to effectively deal with L-Word (and any other permanently banned player):

Once someone is permanently banned, there are no further chances. The only option is for that person to appeal to Lopdo and unless he overturns it the ban is permanent.

If someone like L-Word keeps spamming the thread, here is my proposed solution:

1) Lopdo - You need to appoint a few more moderators. One or two is fine, but there needs to be a reasonable expectation that at least one mod will log in once every 24 hours. You need enough to satisfy the 24 hour rule.

2) All users - Do not reply, quote, post, or otherwise respond to a permabanned player.

3) Use the Report Post icon next to the post.

4) Moderator(s): You will need to ban the new account plus select the option to delete ALL posts by that user. He has to know that within 24 hours of any new activity ALL evidence of his existence on this forum will be removed.

5) Only an aggressive follow up within 24 hours will cause this to stop. And if it does not stop, then so what? For the rest of us every 24 hours it will be like it never happened.

I agree he should be banned, but we don't really need more mods. I say we just give Rat, Royal, and Joshua or someone the go ahead to insult the ban on sight players until the mods get back, that way we can enjoy a good show and they still get banned. Like gladiator matches.

Then he has every right to derail every one of your threads. I don't want the rest of the threads to be subject to spam similar to unwanted advertisements for porn. You encourage him with your responses on several of the threads. You personally deserve for him to respond to you from this point forward.

And now you're being aggressive... Take the idea, and realize that he's already doing that. He has absolutely nothing better to do.

I personally don't want any more mods, we're lucky to have Chess, and I'm not pushing our luck with more. More mods wouldn't solve it in any way that would make things better in the long run.

If we sit here making big serious threads and plotting everything out for every instance of one of the trolls coming back, it wastes our time, creates more spam to sort through, and only puts everyone in a worse mood.

Who would it be? Anyone active and knowledgeable enough would considered biased by too many. The only exceptions to that don't have the status they'd need to respect.

Honestly, several of us could and would do a good job at it.. Rat, Joshua, Autumn, Cate, Necro, VM, even myself. The problem is simply that people may not take us seriously and or may think that we would be biased.
