Another cancer

I just saw your post necro and I hope your father gets better. My uncle has lung and bowel cancer and has just a few months to live. I can't imagine what it must be like for him or your father.

My brother died recently too. He was born with all kinds of mental and physical diseases and was never going to live for long but he lived 4 years longer than the doctors predicted. He was always a stubborn little fucker, he wouldn't die when he was supposed to and he refused to fall victim to the things the doctors would tell him. He did a lot of the things he wanted to experience before he died, things that the doctors said it wouldn't be possible for him to do. He did a skydive and he swam with dolphins and he wrote a novel which we're working on to get published. He finished it just in time before his mind truly turned to mush. He slipped into a coma for a while but came back long enough to say his goodbyes to everyone and then he said "I've decided to go now." He slipped back into the coma and died several days later. He died on his terms, and no one else's.

He was the person who created this hig account but we both used it and that is why some people here said him/me/we were one person with bipolar or trolling. He made it a few weeks before he died and while he was in the hospital bed he played some vortex wars as a guest.

His body was an absolute mess and riddled with disease and he was in constant chronic pain but he would always tell everyone not to worry about him and not to cry or feel sad because he was dying. He didn't want to be the cause of other people hurting and feeling bad. He made everyone promise him that at the funeral no one would wear black and he picked a list of songs to be played and they were all happy songs. When we asked him if he wanted to be buried or cremated he said, "Burn the mother fuck outta this body" and then laughed his little head of for 2 minutes straight - all the doctors and nurses and family members were in hysterics. He was a funny shithead. He was always playing practical jokes on people. This one time he locked all the doors in our house and hid all of the toilet paper and then he made everyone a cup of tea. It was 15 minutes later when we all realised he'd put laxatives in our drinks.

He used to say that everyone's body dies at some point. That it was just a spacesuit so we could experience life here on earth. He'd say that death isn't death, but death is just a change of form and a shift in awareness. He'd say the body dies, we climb out of it and we go to a different place, not necessarily a good place or a bad place, just a different place, most probably the place we were before we came here to live on earth for a while. Funny thing is while he was alive me and my bro had a solid relationship and we looked after each other but now he's dead the connection is even deeper because he is not limited by the confines and laws of being inside a human body. He's dead but he's very much alive and well and he's there pretty much constantly there. I see him, I hear him, I feel his love, we talk. Little fucker.

Fingers crossed for you dad necro.

Lovely story. I'm proud of him for how he felt about the situation.
