By your logic we should ban someone for having names like 'feck' since it is the swear word with an e instead of a u. I don't see how negers would cause any problem.

Actually, banning someone named feck wouldn't be that bad if u look at what they are saying. When u say the f word, you are representing a bad thing. the f word it self isn't bad. so if you are to ban the f word, you are banning what it represents. Thus, if feck represents the f word, then it should be banned.

Alright, I'll agree that this is down to a person's own opinion\discretion of what is offensive and what isn't.

The word 'feck', for instance, doesn't bring up any connotations to me, but it does to you.

It's simply that 'negers' is how 'niggers' is pronounced in Russian (this is one of the languages I speak), and since many Russians I know are unfortunately a little bit racist (not including all of them in one group, just many of the ones I know), I have a strong hunch that this is meant as an offensive word, made even worse by the fact that the user thinks he can erroneously outwit the English speaking public and offend them at the same time.

Is someones username was bibbuboa, but that person was trying to represent a bad thing, then i would ban that person. If a person's username was the f word but had innocent intentions, then he shouldn't be banned.
