Okay. Did some more rolls.

All in HC mode, all 8v8's, all with races that give no attack or defense bonuses (including the blademasters I've faced, due to no boosts being used). The attacking is higher due to me toying with some victims, oops!

Keep in mind these sample sizes are very small and against races with NO bonuses active (e.g. elves, arachnids - being attacked, haven't been attacked by one yet, blademasters - no boosts, natives, and undead).

Controls I have when hosting a game:
boosts off
upgrades active
borders
HC

Attacking (win%) n=46
~56.5%
Defending (win%) n=31
~61.3%

I have yet to try anything in attrition, due to a personal dislike of it, but I will get around to it in due time. Currently I have my excel sheet sorted by race, then by win (yes/no), then by mode (which means attrition will factor in eventually).

Just in case anybody was curious

Edited for verb case, oops!

Attrition probably doesn't need to factor in, since most oddities are reported in HC, but good idea, just in case.

Guest77- Find me in-game, we can do some testing, you can use dragons for the testing.

Okay got some more data thanks to Rat!

Attacking (win%); n=66
54.5454545454...% (won a fraction of 6/11, so repeating decimal)
Defending (win%); n=56
~55.4%

so looking good!

Okay. Did some more investigating by myself.

Again, these numbers are against races with 0% attack or defense bonuses!

n=150 for both attacking and defending

Att win% ~55.3%
Def win% ~57.3%

These numbers are looking good and normal- if there are any bugs, I would put forth some of these ideas:
a) They come about only with certain races
b) It may not be dragons that cause the bug, rather dragons happen to be the only race susceptible to it
c) It isn't very common, but when it does it comes in large strings

This is all assuming there is any problem at all, which we are not seeing right now.

In a match against Mannie, who was using angels, I did notice something extremely unlikely.

I was dragons.

My win% (there were about 40-50 rolls each way):

Attacking: ~33%
Defending: ~40%

Now, either that's a fair bit of luck or something is wrong.
