Rank gain

Is there a difference in rank gain depending on race? what are the determining factors? me and another guy just drew a game, even number of lands, he had 20 less rank than me, maybe 25 tops, yet when we drew, I got about 30-33 rank and he got 77. I don't think he killed more people than me so what gives?

It is a mix of:

- Rating of each player on the map
- The order in which you finish
- The number of spaces/people that you killed is not a factor in the rating change
- In the case of a draw it does assign a weight to the "strength" of the position on the map. Perhaps the algorithm determined that his position was stronger and finally
- Personality - The game does not like you

That last I think is the frosting on the cake that effects it most of all.. the game doesn't like anyone with a hexagon, but I think it especially dislikes some people, me being one of those people

For me it's not so much the game that dislikes me, though it does quite lot. But the players. They all hate me. YOU all hate me.

I GOTCHA'd her, and then gave Rez the wrong idea by saying "sorry about your daughter, I caught her"... I'm an idiot I think.
