I think alliances are a fair way of playing. You just might not get as exp or shards from it.
This too shall pass.

Backstabbing sucks but what I hate even more are those pathetic loosers who'll beg to make 2vs1 or 3vs1 alliances, just because they can't play on their own.

I think it doesn't matter and that honor has nothing to do with a game. =)

i dont think its that big an issue if 2 people make an alliance against you, later in the game, if neither have upgrades, and you have both. Im fine with that, makes it more of a challenge. Any more than 2 people forming an alliance against you? Pathetic on their part. Alliances are an important aspect of the game, whether it should be or not, and backstabbing is as well. I get pissed off at the people who start the game by requesting alliances... especially if they're a respectable level. It just embarrasses me tbh.

I make alliances, mostly to manipulate other players into a bad position so I can stomp them later when other people are out of the way.

I have taken on 3 people while having both upgrades, it will not stop you if you have already grown close to 40 territories.

yeah, same, because they cant defend all of their borders. My biggest problem with people teaming up is when they 1 - 2 attack through your regions. Nothing you can really do to prevent losing ground with that technique, and its infuriatingly effective.

True but i find they hardly do this and even then i still have more units and they cant defend anything else. I do agree with you though 3 allies are lame.
