I think you have a different perception of alliances. The reason I am playing vortex wars and not a risk emulator is to have the human interaction. From my point of view, this is what makes risk interesting. Risk is a very simple game, but making and breaking alliances, trying to negotiate something etc. is what makes it kind of unique. In Vortexwars alliances can be a real game changer. Sometimes you can manage to draw attention to other players or leverage your position as the last player to be rather advantegous.

lapdo my friend you're gonna have to come out sooner or later and face the music. While I doubt it was your original intent alliances happen in just about every match, and it rarely results in people ganging up. The community sometimes keeps it fair by not allying in odd player maps and they tend to wait a turn.

On the other hand alliances are still extremely prevelent and you're gonna have to do something about it eventually. You could always make it a mode so that the players BOTH win what they earned throughout the course of the game. Also it would make the games semi interesting. In EVERY instance I played risk when people allied at the start they quit after they beat eveyone and called themselves both winners. It wasn't an issue with anyone, they earned it as a team. Every other tactics game has an alliances concept and I'm afraid that the reason it exists is the reason you are seeing in your community, people LIKE to work as a team. It's fun and it leaves bad blood when everyone who teamed end up turning on themselves because the silly draw button never showed up. If not you're gonna get a hell of a lot more complaints. I don't think you wanna go that route and if you do you should see my email first.

1. Lopdo, not lapdo.
2. Alliances do not happen in just about every match
3. They result in ganging up very often
4. Lopdo wants as much fighting as possible. People are lucky he even added a draw button
5. Many people would complain if an ally system were added

Raburn its typos. I got a finger that likes a. Deal with it please he hasn't said anything to me. Some could call it a joke to if they had some humor. (lapdo = lap dog as in lap dog to the masses. All important people are but this joke wasn't intended.) If and when he says something i'll check my left pinky.

Also in every game I have seen alliances and rarely did they result in one person not having an alliance. I dunno were you are playing but you need to open your freakin eyes and observe the sun rise. If you don't believe me about every single tactics game going to alliances go out and look at numbers such as;

King of The World
Wesnoth
Starcraft (1 and 2)
Warcraft (all)
Halo

I know comparing these to this game is like comparing earth to sky, but in this one case they all have something similar and this is people love alliances. Its fun, it promotes team work, and brings friendships galore. My closest internet buddies were in the starcraft clan [X], Clan NauTii, and Clan Ospades.

Yes, I understand you made a typo. Now I'm not saying that every tactics game is not going to alliances, but in general, it is not true that every vortex wars game has an alliance. I would say most of the dedicated vortex wars players dislike alliances- and those are the players that it means more to please to a dev.

One person not having an alliance and alliances making the game unfair are very different. Alliances can destroy a game. Alliances may be fun for some, but they are not fun for the people that it ruins the game for.

People who aren't sore losers are actually VERY likely to become friends with each other because of a good fight against each other, probably more so than the people who make alliances.

Most times I see bad blood.

And Most times I see alliances. Sorry but its something thats gotta be embraced at some point. And adding a allies mode would solve the issue with the die hards not allying in the face of destruction. It would keep the two groups seperate.
