Game speed

So, my idea is simple. I think there should be an option for game speed, to make things interesting. If we can solve our lag issues, we could have two new speeds of game movement. One would be like what we already have, but you have to make each move faster, like a lightning match. (So that each move had to be quicker, like speed chess) The other mode would be a slower countdown, but it wouldn't add time every time you made a move. (In other words, it would mean you could only make a limited number of moves)

These methods would allow a new degree of difficulty for the game by forcing us to think faster. Of course, we'd still have good old fashioned normal mode, but this would be for the people who wanted a little extra challenge.

You mean like they do in chess? I remember that. 5 minutes matches. How stressful.

I hate timing in Chess, the only way I win is by wasting time so my opponents get distracted. Last year in my chess club I very literally ranked for no reason other than that my opponent lost because he was playing on his iPod since he got bored of waiting for me.

Agreed, and your moves suck, but it would apply to everyone, so we would have to think faster.

But I like multi-tabbing..
Xerxes:Let us reason. It would be a waste. It would be madness for you and your troops to perish because of a misunderstanding. There is much our cultures could share.
Leonidas:Haven't you noticed? We've been sharing our culture with you all morning.

Thank you so much for that productive response!

It's one thing to criticize, that's helpful, but saying minus one is both annoying and completely unhelpful.
