Part of what is needed for moneymaking is advaertisement, and nothing is better than free advertisement that can be gained from people making gameplay videos; unfortunately I don't think the interface is appealing enough to do so :p
The simple, the best.

1.To encourage people to buy deluxe map editor we could add achievements for creating maps bigger than 40 regions.

Seems like a too easy achievement to get (simply connect 40 random pieces of territory in the map editor. But I do like the general idea of rewarding map building users.

Indeed, once a player gets sucked into a game they start to get competitive and are much more likely to fork out the cash.

Nice idea, but I don't see this happening. Politeness and friendliness should be the norm in my opinion, plus, the definition of those in game is a little difficult (agreeing to draw? surrendering when at a disadvantage? not killing a weak opponent?)

Good luck with that! :)

That's right. The reward for an easy achievement can be discussed. Any suggestions? Maybe you could get an extra map slot instead of just boring shards and xp. Or a small boost pack. The achievements and their rewards are a bit boring. Sorry, Lopdo. And some are really easy while some are impossible.

What do you mean by an extra map slot? Increasing the maximum amount of territories you can place on the free map editor (vs. the 250 on the Deluxe editor)?

No an extra map slot, so you can make another map.
