Mod Watchlist

Postby Fangfallen » Fri Feb 08, 2013 8:13 am

I think that it would be nice to have a system where we can vote for a player to be placed on a watchlist.
What I mean by this is.
If you are in a game and a person is cussing there @$$ off you can vote them onto watchlist.
As this player is being stupid throughout the day he will aqquire several votes onto watchlist.
Once he gets say 15 votes a mod is automatically alerted. The mod can then review chat filters {I am assuming that is possible, if not make it possible. seriously.}And if the player is legitamately breaking a rule he gets whatever punishment the mods see fit.

I have tinkered with this idea.

Problem is, it is easily abused & .'. requires alot of maintenance to monitor the list.

Although in theory this is what the game needs (or some variation of it).

Also, there are a lot of people who have a tendency to get angry at someone who is winning, especially if they are doing so quickly. I got a really good starting position today and had only a bit of an advantage, then fought with two others for several minutes. When I finally had reduced them, the blue player just started cussing at me and saying that I should be reported for hacking because I had, to quote, 'been winning too many rolls'.

And, as I hope is obvious, I don't hack, it was just a little bit of luck.

So no, I don't think this is a great idea, given that this actually happens a whole lot, and people would be accumulating these points almost every game they won. On the other hand, if this minor watchlist power was given to players who were either over a certain level or trusted by the moderators themselves, it would be an entirely different story.

The mods already read the blacklist and report user's they don't need another list to waste time reading.Just stating an opinion but i think this is just a waste of a thread.

Sigh, not another topic for them to monitor...an ingame system. Lopdo should make more mods..mods with limited powers. VW needs more police..of course getting trustworthy mods can be quite a bother.
