well that was unfortunate - but how is a pc gonna be able to tell if it is by mistake or because someone wants to quit.

If I want to quit I would have pressed surrender and got XP.

Indeed true. Or if you are playing on school computers and a teacher happens to walk by...It shouldn't be too hard to create a code that specifies the only way to leave a game is by surrendering/winning/drawing. I'm just assuming because any MMO's that have been in product for awhile have those seemingly 'autosave' functions.
