This is not about companies. This is about Government Control. One of the largest Companies existing, Google, is the one pushing to stop this, per my link I started this topic with. Companies alone hardly ruin anything. All they want is your money, and they can't force you to give it to them unless Gov't forces you to do that. You're scapegoating corporations when free markets are the only thing that gives a person direct control of their environment by purely choosing how to spend their money. The only reason that might not work, is because you don't own your own money supply (as is today), or cannot chose which money in which to place faith (which exists today as well).

Regarding the invention part - I once heard or read that there were no new inventions made since the invention of the wheel, lol.

Anyway, saying that the Internet is the greatest invention\progression\whatever that mankind has ever invented might be a little bit premature, as I recall that when the TV was invented, its inventor claimed he had made the biggest time waster of all time - is it still true today? (rhetorical question...)

I'm just waiting for that 'ho' bloke to get on and ask what an internet is, and then request that Lopdo gives him one to help him learn about it.
I honestly don't remember why I decided to type everything in blue.

:lol:

Reminds me when one time I saw a question on a tech support forum that went like this: "How can I steal some Internet from my neighbour?" (meaning, tapping into their wireless network via Wi-Fi).

The answer he got was no less amusing: "Well, when you go to you neighbour, distract him\her, then, quickly throw some food over to the Internet, and, when it takes the bait - grab it and run as fast as you possibly can. And that's how you still an Internet."

@Extermy: :lol:

By the way isn't it impossible for the internet to have laws impair it? It was designed to survive a nuclear war, if even just one country decides not to agree with all the other countries new laws then that country would be the haven of free internet speech. They wouldn't be able to control servers based there and so could control the market.
The simple, the best.

The only problem with that is that the 4 main servers (super computers) that pretty much sustain and essentially are the Internet are based in the USA. So, if you were to nuke it all...
