Undead race problem i've noticed

Postby tonyy4 » Thu Oct 18, 2012 3:41 am

I'm sure you all notice the undead race special ability
win first attack with attack boost you don't lost any boosts
and yes i tried using the search bar and it came up with 58 pages
do you guys expect me to search through all 58 pages? but i did however went through about 28 pages
and all the stuff about undead were mostly about the Hurt & Heal game
so anyway i'll get to the point
i think it's unfair how when i play undead and i use an attack boost, sometimes i win and sometimes i don't.
but when i do win the first attack and my enemy has a defense boosts, and the second time, my attack looses then i lost 1 boost
shouldn't it stay true to it's meaning?
we should not loose our attack boost even if we don't win the second attack
because the undead race clearly stats we won't loose an attack boost if we win first attack
i don't see anything anywhere saying "However if you win first attack and if your enemy has a defense boost and you lost the second attack your attack boost will still be consumed"
and same thing with the watchmen

can somebody give me a good reason why it's like this?

I've never actually noticed that it's like that. Are you sure?
Xerxes:Let us reason. It would be a waste. It would be madness for you and your troops to perish because of a misunderstanding. There is much our cultures could share.
Leonidas:Haven't you noticed? We've been sharing our culture with you all morning.

This doesn't sound like a problem. Undead doesn't use attack boosts if you don't use them. The second attack on a shield is another roll.

Tony's point is sound. He's right, the race is somewhat misleading in label vs actuality. However, the Undead race is already one of the best. Probably best to leave as is.

It is indeed so, and I myself have noticed it a few times.

However, as Froggy618157725 has mentioned, the second attack on a shield is in actuality a second roll of the dice, and, if you loss that role, what reason or justification do you have for keeping the attack boost that was used in that particular attack? As it clearly is mentioned in the race's description that the attack boosts is only kept if the attack is successful.

Also, minor picking, but I think this post belongs in the "Bug Reports" section of the forum.

It was more of a question rather than a pure pointing out of a bug.

The description in the store says: "Dead are rising! (attack boost is not consumed when you win first attack)."
That's it. It does imply that winning the first roll is the only condition to retaining the boost.

boost it snot consumed if u win the first Rolls against Normal Armies...Sheild its +1 Rolls...so kinda normal if u lose FIRST rolls VS Normal after destorying the sheild...its like that :)

my justification is that the undead race clearly states that we get to keep our attack boost if we win the first attack
if you can find anywhere that says we don't get to keep our attack boost if we lost to a second attack by a shielded region then i'll be happy
and yes the "second attack on a shield is actually a second role of the dice" as you said it is a "second attack" not "first"
and as TG says "winning the first attack is the only condition needed to keep the boost"
so i think this should be fixed
