This is ridicolu. Theres nothiing wrong with alliances. Some peole even help each other ut just becuz thy hate the other palyer more if thye are annoying. Theway to fgorm alliances is good i think. It makes the gam more thrilling. Serioulsy dont quit. Lopdo has been working hard on this and reserves deep respect. He does so much more than new races now and then. And about bugs. Istn that the same wya with every game that it comes new bugswith new versions. I never played a sequel or new version of a game without bugs. I have to agree you can be pissed of sometimes when there are unair alliances. But for that cause dont pik down at Fiendess rulebook. Its really good. Besides i see low level player all he ti now adys and less guests. Cmon. Sure we will miss you but when i read your message i thought it seemed like you wouldnt read the replis anyway. Am i wrong? And with a total of less than 10 months its impossible to watch games. Btw where has Gamerzx been? I havent seen him in a while. Lopdo is not in game muc it seems cuz hes working hard. You have 2 high demands on him. I will defend Lopdo cuz he smart makes good games and deserves respect. i think you should be ashamed for telling him who made som uch progress and does everything in his power, thay his work is not even enough to make people stay. Seriously tou have to realize the tight budget and thayt lopdo is the only real administraor the only otehr person i know is teh guy who made the music and he wont need to make new music for this in a while. Its too dmeanding for our poor, hardworking devloer we all love. I asure active at feature requests but im not begging for it to happen like some guys get a lollipop and think they were suppoed to have the whole candy shop. Show some respect man.

That post is so full of irrelevant and incorrect comments that I have no idea where to start.

This is a link to the 'suggestion for mods' topic which I think will be helpful here as some of you are complaining about there not being enough determined mods. Hope this helps.

her let me explain it better for him

hes saying it's lame how people are quitting just because of people allying
you should be ashamed of yourselves because it isn't against the rules
in every game there will bugs don't matter what
with every update comes more bugs
I don't' see one game without bugs
yes i know you're ganna get mad when there are unfair alliances
but I will defend Lopdo because he spends a lot of time fixing the game and trying to make it a fun place to be
you guys have too much demand for him to do
he's a hard worker and don't have a lot of time for the game
seriously though you have to realize the tight budget
and that lopdo is the only real administrator and the other guy i know is the guy who made the music
and he doesn't need to make new music for this game
it's too demanding for our poor hard working developers we all love
I request things in the feature request but i'm not begging for things to happen
like some people that have a lollipop and they think that they own the whole candy shop
show some respect man

well i hope i said it all right lol

Ahh, hopefully I can get this line-by-line.

hes saying it's lame how people are quitting just because of people allying
you should be ashamed of yourselves because it isn't against the rules

How does it not being against the rules change anything? It is not lame in any way for people to quit a game because something makes them find it not fun.
in every game there will bugs don't matter what
with every update comes more bugs
I don't' see one game without bugs

He didn't actually mention any bugs- he mentioned a rating system with bad design, which wasn't even a main reason, just a secondary offense- it only matters coupled with the other things users are doing.
yes i know you're ganna get mad when there are unfair alliances

Yet it is lame to quit because you can't actually enjoy it.
but I will defend Lopdo because he spends a lot of time fixing the game and trying to make it a fun place to be

I really don't think Lopdo is the one that he was putting at fault.
you guys have too much demand for him to do
he's a hard worker and don't have a lot of time for the game
seriously though you have to realize the tight budget

Same as before applies to this. As someone who has payed for much more time of people playing the game than I have actually played, I think I'm perfectly qualified to say this (spent I think $70+whatever Lopdo got from free warcoins I've earned).
and that lopdo is the only real administrator and the other guy i know is the guy who made the music

I don't think Valent is an administrator (despite his amazing musical talent).
and he doesn't need to make new music for this game

No, he doesn't.
it's too demanding for our poor hard working developers we all love

Once again... refuting arguments that don't exist, presumably because it is easier than refuting the ones actually made.
I request things in the feature request but i'm not begging for things to happen
like some people that have a lollipop and they think that they own the whole candy shop
show some respect man

well i hope i said it all right lol

Case in point, you're shoving nonexistent arguments up his throat.

*note i did not say this i'm just make it sound more clear calleharnemark*

D'accord. In that case, all that I said goes to calleharnemark, not you.

Many good points in there, but I wouldn't be so hard about Lopdo. We also have to try thinking from his perspective. Managing this game is not a full time job for him, so I am pretty tolerant about bugs (and I don't see any real critical one - even the minus rating was more funny than serious).

About Mods....... Yes, more are definitely needed for game "spirit". But... I could imagine Lopdo being a bit reluctant about electing new mods. History has not been great on this point, and you probably don't want to have this mod and demod stuff again, with all what the demod part means (before and after having to do it).

tech certainly does a good job, probably karen too, I don't know about others (are any other still active ?). But they can't do enough just the 2 of them. I have seen soooo many abuse in this game. I have never see a single mod in action while online in game.

I'm not sure Lopdo has any intention to jump into the rules discussion, although all his comments on that topic always impress me by the fairplay and maturity he's showing us. I have the feeling he considers himself just as the game creator / editor, and then leaves it to the community, only providing opinion from time to time (well, lately at least - previously he used to be more active in banning some abusers). I am not sure it is the best way to have this game live a bright and long life. He should probably also introduce coherent rules and take necessary actions to enforce them. Probably it's not the part he would like the most....

I guess the general opinion, except for only few of us, is that it is an online game, and you can't avoid to get the standard online population, which is not always brilliant on average.

I am not so pessimist and instead consider that a big part the most annoying ones in this population can actually be educated. At least you have to try. Only the incurable minority should be banned.

But that requires active moderation.

Very well put.

And just to clear some things up:

1) Ozserf - I didn't say I was quitting the game (even though I haven't been playing much lately) ;)

2) I have nothing against Lopdo and think he did a very good job with this game overall (particularly in how he made the interaction between the ArmorGames accounts to the Vortex Wars server system).

3) Pingu has it dead on - I also believe that Lopdo sees himself as the creator and leaves the "smaller" stuff to the community. I could understand him not wanting to get into constant micromanagement, with his personal life and all. And yes - his comments who me he is definitely a stand-up guy.

4) Indeed, mods such as techgump do a lot for the game and perhaps I sounded a little too hard to say that nobody higher-up truly cares where the game is going. I do think, however, that a good start could be with one of the mods re-posting Fiendess's "Vortex Wars Rulebook" (and deleting her entry) to make the rules look less of a joke (and I don't have anything against her).

5) Finally, I must also say that having a (second) never-ending thread of "Report Users" AND a "Blacklist" thread which are both largely ignored doesn't add much credibility to the game's enforcement, either.
