Here are the three I've had longest and remember best. (I love how Drone's looks like the opposite to mine.)

P.S. Drone made the last 2 on the list. As well as 1 or 2 others that didn't turn out as good as I imagined.

My first avatar, I had nothing better at the time.
Image
A recolor done by me of quickman's mugshot from Megaman 2. I still use this one elsewhere because it has some charm, but the size just didn't work for a forum.
Image
I like this one. It's some scandinavian coat of arms or something and it represents me well I think, but the white space and the compression issues made it look kinda lame.
Image
The current one. I used this somewhere else I frequent, but I changed avatars there so why not here? This is Odlaw from the where's waldo books in case you never had a childhood by the way. Still some white space, but it's worth it for that smirk and 'stache.
Why am I still skulking around here? That's a very good question.

You could try making the background transparent to take out the white space.

My respect for you, Highlander, just doubled... You are now AWOBPOTH of the forums.

(AutumnWolf's Official 'Best Person Of The Hour', it may sound silly, but you had a wolf avatar and I had forgotten to recognize you for it, so now you are the great AWOBPOTH.) And here's my current avatar before I cut some of it off and swapped the wolves. (I swapped them to fit the logo)

I stopped messing around with this one, from league of legends. It's like the game's mugshots were designed for avatars they're so perfect for the job.
