A few requests: Zoom and alliances

Here you can request new feature you would like to see in game

A few requests: Zoom and alliances

Postby JadElClemens » Sat Jul 23, 2011 5:07 am

First of all, zoom. In large and huge maps, it's impossible to get the full map onto your screen. It's much easier to manage your troops when you can see the big picture.

Secondly, alliances. If you click on a user's name in the sidebar that displays all the usernames, you'd be presented with many options. Request alliance, and others to be added later on (because I can't be the only one with an idea that'd require a user-specific menu). When you join an alliance, your colors are merged (based on the color of the person that initiated the request). The original requester keeps his color, and the person who accepted the request gets a different shade. From there, the leader (the original requester) can request alliances with others, etc. etc. etc.

Anything to add? Thoughts?

Would it still be possible to break alliances? Through my views on Lopdo's comments it seems that he likes the idea of having them be able to be broken. It adds a risk to the game.
This too shall pass.

zoom is coming, but I am not sure about aliances like that. There probably will be team play, but I would like to leave alliances as they are now

I'm glad zoom is coming. A lot of people have asked for that.

A real team mode would be nice, but not needed.

I still want a no chat mode.

If there is a team mode system and there is no option to break alliances, than I don't want it.

I think team mode and alliance requesting are definitely my most wanted things

Well, you'd definitely be able to break alliances. I think a team mode would be great though. Not teams from the start, but ingame team requests. If you feel like a hero, for example, you could save somebody by lending them units, or 1/4-1/8 of your new unit pool could be added to their new unit pool.

Just use your flash to zoom in and out! (right click options)

Good point, even if it isn't as good as built in zoom would be.

flash zoom either zooms in too much, or zooms out too much, it's terrible
