DILLOS - Cheat should be banned

Postby Virus13 » Thu Jul 05, 2012 9:10 am

Because I was getting annoyed with what is going on lately, I signed on as a guest this morning, just to basically play games without pressures etc.
I joined a game with a player called Dillos and another named Nguish or Ngush(?), there were three other guests.
It became obvious that DILLOS had joined the game as himself and as a guest also, you must take action on this player, otherwise this sort of thing will continue and completely ruin the site for genuine players.
Obviously you can check this out with NGUSH(?) if required.

DILLOS is level 20 and can only assume that he has used this tactic to attain that level(?)
I would appreciate a response and notification on what action you are going to take.

This issue will be hopefully solved in VW2.0 with proper report button
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

And in any case, you should report this issue in the "Report Users" thread - http://www.vortexwars.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1598

I apologise if I reported this in the wrong section but it is not that clear, "Report Users" appears to concentrate on abusers, not cheats?
Obviously there is a "blacklist" but that just appears to be abused for sniping & conjecture?
This guy openly cheated, I thought it best that genuine players are made aware, I was hoping that he may have his wrist slapped but not sure that will happen?
Having joined the forum to post that particular point, I have read through as many of the threads as could be bothered with and as much as forums can be fun and useful, this one just appears to be sniping, racism, non-interest and very little action taken on any of the points.
Because of this, I have resigned myself to the fact that the forum is run by the few for the few and it is better to just accept that the game will continue to be full of cheats and on some occasions, very sad individuals.
Hey ho, not to worry, I seem to have more fun playing as a guest these days......

I'm sorry you feel this way :(

I myself feel the same sometimes, and it is indeed inevitable that a game that had no updates for a while starts to loss its appeal on the one hand and attracts abusers on the other hand.

But, since version 2.0 comes out soon (with a personal friend list AND ban list), I truly hope that this situation will be remedied.
