They are not related in any way. Not every state even votes for the Republican and Democrat nominee on the same day.

The Republicans hold a convention where they decide their candidate and have 2472 delegates in attendance.

The Democrats hold a totally separate convention where they decide their candidate and have 4765 delegates in attendance.

Each of them could have easily chosen a different number of delegates, none at all, or a different system having nothing to do with delegates.

Don't compare what the Democrats and Republicans are doing in the same state during the primary season. There are also other parties doing the same thing and some have a handful of delegates and some don't even use the delegate system.

Just for note, each party also has "Super Delegates" that you don't even get a chance to vote for. These are party insiders who just get to attend and vote for whoever they want. They are not determined by the votes in any state.

It's all made up by the parties. Not that long ago in history they didn't even ask the voters what they wanted. They just came out of a smoke filled room and let everyone know who the candidate was.

It seems Rubio dropping out really helped Cruz; he crushed everyone in Utah.

Carson is not on that list :(

It's to late now Hillary is the next President, I'm calling it now.
Trump v Clinton and I hate them both so im going to be sad for the next 4 years at least.
Neither Clinton or Trump know what they are doing, but at least Trump has more opportunity. (Money)

Carson's not on the list because he's no longer in the race.

Hillary has actually lost the past 6 states pretty badly to Sanders; he seems to have most of the support out West. He might somehow pull off a miracle. Doubt it. :?

I have a question for everyone: How much (scale of 1 to 10; 1 being least bothersome, 10 being most) does it bother you that almost all of Trump's business(es) are overseas?

Personally, I'm not bothered by it. He was a businessman, not a politician, so he did what made him the most money. That's also why he supported some Democrats before entering politics himself last year; they planned to vote on bills and such that potentially made him more money. So for me, big fat 1. I don't think it should be a problem.

My only issue is he's not even good at it... If he (trump) had put his money in stable investments he'd be richer now than he currently is... He risks too much and I don't want him betting in the table using my money too...

I also enjoyed Ben Carson, but in all honesty half the reason was so I could call people racist for not wanting to vote for him, out of irony's sake.

Adolf Trump, an economic fascist bastard.
Joseph Clinton, an all around dirt commie bastard.
and Benito Sanders, a social fascist, and not even a good one at that...
& there is no denying that they have the biggest lead in American Politics... GG...

(Also I have no Qualms with Cruz, but he doesn't suit my fancy either...)

So you're a Kasich guy :D

I saw a number the other day, that Trump only needs 56% of remaining delegates to win the nomination. It's pretty possible, considering some of the bigger states are still to come.

Several of the remaining states are not only big (Like New York and California), they have rules that allow the winner to take all or at least most. The math is a bit tricky, but could be decided before the convention. There also are superdelegates that will vote and on the Republican side they are not counting those right now. They will definitely count on the first round.
