Yep. It eventually led to the first electronic version.

We went to the telegraph office where the fine gentleman tapped in our moves while someone on the receiving end interpreted those dots and dashes making for an almost instantaneous response.

Those were fun times.

Quarterly Recruitment Drive is open for two weeks starting today (January 17 to January 31).

This is our opportunity as a clan to be more active in the game and on the forum and to bring in new players.

It is also an opportunity for us to join in clan war matches with other clans.

I hope that anyone interested in Vortex Wars that is not already in VWC to consider joining us here.

With VWC (and other clans) you can find friendly players so you can play Vortex Wars in team play, which is almost always frowned upon in the game. Team play can be us together in competitive matches, or against other clans. Come join us and have some fun.

Also with VWC you can be active on the forum. You definitely don't need a clan to post on the forum, and I hope that more players choose to register and participate in our many forum threads, games, and activities. By having a "shared home" on the clan thread you have another opportunity not just to post your thoughts, but to influence a team. VWC has elections and as a team we decide the direction we will go. I invite you to join us in VWC during this open Recruitment Drive.
