Quite an interesting inquiry.

Firstly, let's address the bonus for the snowflakes; in case anyone is not aware.

Disables all bonuses of each race they fight with, for one round.

To my knowledge, 'each race they fight with' refers to both attacking and defending. Now we are faced with a bit of a paradox unless we know whether attacking or defending has any voice in the use of the bonus. I believe it doesn't in which case, either nothing happens, or both players are disabled for the duration of the round.

Snowflakes bring everyone down to the same level.

Santas let you earn shards 25% faster to spend towards upgrades and other races, etc.

So, do you want Snowflakes now, or Santas so you can get shards faster to get the snowflakes and others?

Santas are for the player who wants a bonus that won't affect those around him. IE: a fair player.

Snowflakes are for the player that wants to tick everybody off.
