What I would now propose is merely proof - by posting on the clan thread - that there are 4 active members - for NEW clans to be acknowledged as a new active clan. Perhaps we can drop all of the rest from consideration.

Sounds fair

Requirements for Council Recognition as an Active Clan:

1. Minimum of 4 members.
2. Minimum of 1 week in existence.

And here is the proposal for a vote:

Thirsty Warfare has not had a post by any clan member in the last 6 weeks. They are, and should be, an Active Clan on the Vortex Wars Council. There does come a point where, like OOS, the community should recognize that a clan is inactive whether they state it themselves or not.

I propose that after three months of inactivity a clan is defunct for purposes of being on the Council.

PROPOSAL for a vote:

"If there is no activity on their clan page for 90 days, a clan may be considered for removal from the Active Clans Listing and from the Vortex Wars Council.

After 90 days with no postings by a clan member on their clan page, any Council member may propose the removal of that clan from Active status. The removal must be approved by a majority vote, which does not include the clan being questioned.

The vote will last two weeks. If at any point before the conclusion of the voting, the clan resumes activity (posts to either the Council thread by the leader/alternate or postings to the clan page by members), then the voting stops and the clan continues to be considered as Active."

Going with the other rule, i think if 4 clan members had to vote every 90 days, the clan is no longer a clan and is deemed inactive

The other rule only applies once - when a clan is first recognized. There is no standard to prove that you still have 4 active members after that. Unless a clan admits that it does not still have 4 active members, there is no rule against them just making up names to add to their own clan page and saying that they still have 4 (or more) members.

I would say we need better standards. If we have those standards, we wouldn't really need to have a big vote on it. Rather, the conditions would no longer be met, someone would mention it, and even if they had like one post in that time, they'd have to reapply because they were inactive.
