for the moment I thought highlander is a mod (from the way he was talking) and rushed to demote him but then it hit me is normal player. Thanks for the report but I will not ban him or anything for this (there wouldn't be any players left if I ban people for stuff like this). Let this be the warning for him

Im not sure if this is helpful but I have also run into "problems" with highlander.

You both run into problems with Highlander because you egg him on. I have seen it, and it is apparent in Sword's post. I am not sticking up for Highlander's language, as there is no excuse. However, if these words/actions by Highlander really bother you, then don't engage him and be party to creating the situation.

In my defense i've never openly been abusive too any player , apart from responding to baiting and provocation , i feel that swordalchemist was enticing me for a word of words which i did over step , but he had no right to think he was the law . As for awesome 400 he has constantly harrassed me , followed and refused to leave my games when i did ask nicely, so i was of the opinion he could only understand one form of our language. Last night swordalchemist was also asked to leave my game , as host i should have this right , other people kick i ask first. both these people say i broke the rules of vortex wars , but it also clearly says that baiting or enticing a person to be abusive , is also breaking a major rule

Well as shown by the conversation I posted (which I trust you agree is accurate), I simply inquired as to what you were talking about in a public chatroom. This is not uncommon, and certainly does not constitute "baiting" in the eyes of a reasonable person. If you see that as provocation, I would advise you to stay away from public chats in the future, and possibly even the internet as a whole.

I have screenshots from that game that highlander is referring to... and since he brought it up I will post some of them publicly. Insomnia was present in the game (as can be seen) but he took no action. I did not get as many screenshots as I would have liked, as it happened a bit fast.

As to what highlander siad I completely disagree with him. He has openly insulted people for no general reason. (as you can see by the screenshots swordalchemist made) I have also never stopped coming into highlanders games knowing that it would cause problems. Even after doing that highlander chooses to drag me into his conflict with sword.

I feel that your response is not fair to me at all. I will attempt to avoid his games and speaking with him, as that is a fair thing to ask. However, I have never attempted to entrap him, and have only reported him for conduct that violates the guidelines set forth here. As you can see in the first conversation, I was merely trying to speak with people in chat. I was no offensive, and simply conversed with him as I would any other. I have had no prior notable interaction with him that I can think of, and I still do not know him very well.
The second occurence was similar in nature... and since a moderator was in the room (insomnia) I figured that there would be no issues. That game was the only game up at the time if I remember correctly, and as I actually never instigated a conversation with highlander, there are no grounds for any sort of harassment argument.
Highlander immediately brought up the subject, and harassed me in front of Insomnia... after the game began. I discussed it with him briefly (mostly with Insomnia who had referred to me as a snitch early in the game) and then per the request of the other players in the game I dropped it. Highlander did not, and insulted me continually.
As to your ban if contact is made between any of us three... why between myself and awesome? We have no problem with each other (at least not from my end), and he has not vocalized any issue that he has with me. Why then can we not have contact?

The language used by Highlander is the only harassment going on here, and per the rules, that is the offense. A ban would not be justified for highlander anyway, as a warning must be issued first. Your threat to ban me is crossing the line completely, as I have not even remotely drawn near to the line.
You know very well that my conduct in game is spotless, as you have told me yourself that the moderators are looking for a reason to ban me. I am not about to give that opportunity, and would still like to be afforded the same justice under the law as each other player.


As to highlander... you have the same opportunity as I do to present screenshots that would show a different view of the proceedings. Your claim of some other side is yet unbacked however, and will be until you present your own proof.

Your proof of my baiting and enticing is welcome.. but until it is presented, I would like to ask that you cease your groundless accusations. Your defamation of my character is childish, as are your continual insults.
