weighted voting power i think is the most unfair of ur suggestions..........i can c letting more trusted people being chosen as updaters but weighted voting power is just way too much to swallow..............

In the United States have more voting power in Congress and for elections. California has many more people than, say, Rhode Island, so California has more power. The same should go for clans, to a degree.

Firstly, not everyone here is even a US citizen.
Secondly, that doesn't mean anything. The USA's voting system is far from perfect and they had many arguments about the electoral college and whatnot.

Here's my recommendation.

Every single clan has the same voting power.
It's the easiest way to solve the problem without having to get to technical.

Ideally I would say that we could emulate the USA's voting process, but that will be difficult to get everyone to cooperate

Getting a little side-tracked here.

The first order of business is to get a new thread with work-able chair-persons.

As for the other thing all clans are equal and you'll never get the other clans to vote other-wise Autumnwolf17,sorry. (you want to make the largest clan, fine but don't ask for more votes on the council). One clan- one vote. It's been fair so far , gee its not like we will vote for any major changes,Lopdo does all that.

But once up and running this time, we will make more of a commitment to it and stop small bickerings turning into major battles and ruining the forum.

Only clan leaders can post.
If A clan member has an issue ,he talks to the clan leader and then the clan leader posts it on the council thread.
As for new clans ,again only the creator and clan leader can ask.
these are just examples and common sense.

The council was created to stop forum wars and make what we have now, friendly wars no take-overs.
We may not all see the same script but we are all leading to the same goal.

I'm not saying we should have it completely based on population, I'm just saying that stronger clans should be able to send more votes, or at least have the newest clans have less than the two. Nothing major, just three votes for the biggest (WolfPack and Rangers), two votes for medium clans (WC and Soldiers), and only the leader for the smallest (Killer Mantids and AM).

Before you shoot me down, think about it. The clan acceptance process may be flawed (it shouldn't be this hard to be accepted), but even so, clans that have just started up shouldn't have so much power to control the other clans. Remember that the OOS is mostly WC? They had twice as many votes as anybody else did.

And if you don't want the WolfPack to be so big, we could just split in half and have twice as many votes as you, with this system.

As for the new page, what do you guys think of just having a shared account? Nobody replied to me on that... :)

Fangfallen already suggested the shared account , which i'm in favour off.The only debate is chair-persons or clan leaders.

I do see your point about the voting but being fair is what we are about,if you want by size, then all clans over 20 members must keep an active members list. Also saying smaller clans keep there member list active, just larger a clan the more work. Also being more active on game not the forum,as its clan wars not forum wars.

You can still have the size but your voting depends on actual active players.

(this where it starts losing fun and gets too technical

Example: The Ranger's have 21 members but they are about 5 i've not seen for two weeks and another 3 for longer. With that we should have a monthly check, any longer than a month stays within the clan but goes on a seperate members listing ( A territorial Army - British or The Home Guard - USA) ,A RESERVE LIST.

If after three\four months and a P.M. asking , they should be removed altogether, good point of this is keeps a clan leader motivated in keeping his\her clan active and also keeps the members keen to participate more actively.

^^^ plus who's to say who's active or not, this where trust enters the equation (since no-one trusts no-one ,we hit another brick wall ) ^^^)

THE O. O.S. may have a clan status and have clan wars but shouldn't be on the council as they don't follow the clan ruling that members be listed on the front page.By that i mean there real names, not coded names.I've nothing against The O.O.S. or Multi-clan members but i like to see who i'm fighting. They can keep there secret but give up there vote or the other is the larger clans get more seats on the council.Notice i said seats Autumnwolf17 ( i'm not giving you the sole power of 5 votes, each council member votes his\her way on matters).

So its either THE O.O.S.has clan status and fights with no council votes.

or

Larger clans get more SEATS on council to compensate on THE O.O.S. being mostly Warrior Creed.

gee the no wonder the world war two peace agreement was so long in the making and typing.

Just as a clarification, I didn't mean one member would have more votes. For example, the WolfPack might send Autumnwolf17, Necrocat219, and Guineazilla (current top positions, not sure how it would be). On the other hand, AM might send MONGOOSEICLON only.

As for the updating account, I think it may as well be three or so leaders; I don't feel they should have an extra vote for the position itself.

I also left out Riders, I was just giving an example.
