Darkas, I am not playing on words. Your words were strong and wrong. And I made a clear correction. No need to get defensive.

Also, CMD with release/renew CAN in fact change your IP, it just depends on how you have your physical and software connection configured (and ISP). Not everyone is behind a router. A direct modem to PC connection with WAN IP fetched from local PC will surely allow for CMD commands to work in getting a new IP. It is just a question of your configuration.

And yes, we are quite off topic. This can be discussed in another thread or forum really.

So fun, you're again playing on words.
The configuration you quote, tho possible, is like one on ten thousands.

So this is the formal proof that you're really trying to contradict me, even if it's kinda ridiculous... Yeah, sure, I could also alias my ipconfig/renew to a external command directed to a device which restart my router... GREAT !

I don't get defensive (on opposite, I'm more on the offensive right now :P). You're comforting me in my opinion that you cannot get over anything and still looking for some kind of revenge or I don't know what.

Note that the "techgumb thx" was kinda the conclusion of it, coming from Jokern. Ahahah...

I am not "trying", I AM. And I do so because on both points you are wrong. I am not here to argue about how much or how often one may find this configuration. I am merely stating in both cases, where you say:

Dude, none of us here has a static IP, period.

this is very wrong, and not in any sense true.

and
Restarting the cmd never reset any IP and will never do.

this is also very wrong.

Both are incorrect, and should be corrected, as NONE and NEVER are not proper terms, as both are not only possible, but in fact exist many times over. Words have meaning, and can completely change what is meant, and likewise, what is interpreted by others. A good example is 72% win probability in one of our other topics, where what one or two words are used, makes a huge difference as to whether the statement is correct or not, as pointed out by none other than yourself.

lol.

Only one answer to this:
"Darkas, I am not playing on words."
=\=
"NONE and NEVER are not proper terms"

You know, even if "never", "period", ... are strong words, it doesn't mean that they can't actually be used in a more figurative context... but whatever.

Moreover, you discussing these trivial things and giving some non-representative examples will not help people. On the contrary, now they are comforted in their (wrong) thoughts (but whatever, you're not someone here to help people to improve, or are you, Moderator Gump?).

I would say the best proof we can come up with is screen shots. I would say that they are rather effective. Plus, usually if someone is being a jerk, they get reported by many people. That is when Lopdo typically bans people. BTW, welcome to the forums.
This too shall pass.
