the M word is consider an offensive term as it was used as a word to humiliate, segregate, and ostracize people who because of a chromosome were very short. Most persons of that community prefer the phase "little person" or dwarf. I'm not sure if you intended to make fun of them in that context or not but I would suggest you refer to that community with a better word as to not offend anyone who happens to be a little person.

I hope you can come to realize that the words you read were in no way meant to be a serious insult, but instead were a human behavior known as a joke, in which both the party delivering the jokes and the party the joke was being directed towards understood that the context was not serious and what was said was said in a humorous manner.

I agree it does appear to have been in a context that was intended to be humorous. Although inserting the phase "little person" would have the same effect and would not be rude and offensive to any little person. I don't mean to upset the moderator but can we ALL try to not offend groups of people at the expense of a "joke". Regardless if any little persons view this thread or community many younger children do play this game a lot and as adults we should help educate and lead by example on being socially correct and standing up for others when needed. So I will ask kindly please stop with the childish names, lets learn from this and move forward.

Also I suggest the OP edit his post to rewrite that word out!

The way you say it, it makes it sound as if it would be perfectly fine to shout "I hate all the African American people" as long as I didn't call them 'niggers'. Of course, neither would be alright, and I'm not trying to say that it would be either. All I'm saying was, if someone is going to be offended by a joke, it really doesn't matter if you use the politically correct term or not.

I'm not sure what you mean. But the way I phased my comment was a very passive way because if I am to forward and blunt people get all huff and puff'ed. It's wrong to be rude to little people and you should respect there wishes and use words that they feel comfortable with if you didn't know KNOW YOU DO! If you and your friends choose to continue to use that word because you don't care enough well THATS what I think would be considered a "dick" of course I'm using that word in a slang insult not literally of course!

Also I didn't choose to quote your post because saying the N word is also offensive I'm sure you know that and I'm rather surprized Mr. perhaps you will be kind enough to edit it out as you know FM and several others are only teenagers sure they are exposed to thoes words but we don't want to be the "Dick's" that use the word and encourage others use them in a way that is offensive to others...


And to everyone else is it really that difficult and life changing to switch a word and move on? Learn from it and moveforward don't make such a big deal out of it! know you know and get over it please learn your history about "circus freaks" and the history behind the word before you decide to use it again.

Are you saying I should burn because I informed everybody that the M word was an offensive word? Do you enjoy insulting people and offending others or did you miss the conversation and are confused as to what the topic is?

I would say that both of the words are acceptable in certain situations, though midget much more so. If meant seriously, that's a whole different matter, but I'm sure you can see that we did not mean it that way. If you cannot tolerate it however, most computers allow for age restriction so that the page would not load if certain words had been typed on it.

(And if you do that, tell me so I can put something in my signature)
