well then i offer this as a final solution, no nazi pun intended, hold as many smaller tournys as wanted, or as main guy whos name escapes me wants, for shards and other shiny things. But hold that 1 major tourny monthly or bye weekly for the grand price of bragging race and many a shard :D

That would work!

If tournaments are small and frequent, then perhaps we can employ a system similar to the currency system (shards and warcoins) but with something like champion points. If we win, we get a set amount of champion points according to the size and when we have enough we can trade in for "champion" specials, in a shop kind of like what we already have.

But even if we have small and frequent tornaments, we should also hold larger but less frequent ones that do have permenant prizes. These tournaments should be held over a span of a week or something where a large number of people can play. Then a permenant prize would be worth it because of the scale. What they are and the prizes would have to be determined but this is just an idea.

For smaller tournaments, organization would not be a big problem since they are small in scale. However, bigger tournaments would need a huge coordination effort and possible more admins to organize. I'm not exactly sure how such a tornament would be conducted but it is an idea.

"Champion" points would be similar to shards in the idea but it would require skill to get so that not everyone will be able to obtain them.

Just another set of ideas.

I like this idea. When you say its easy to make little tournament, i agree but we made 2 tournaments and we had max 7 plaxyers. So it isnt easy.

**EDIT**
Here is program for tournaments so if someone needs it. http://www.northbyte.com/

Hmm. I have never organized a tournament so I didn't know. But I suggest an announcement of when the tournaments would be announced when registered players log in. I didn't even know that tournaments have been held. Anyway, I meant that smaller tournaments will be easier to run and establish as opposed to a larger one right?
