I have a question about the current clan poll.

Knights is tied for first place at the moment as the rank/title of the Single-Clan members.

Knights is currently not in use by any clan, I am the Founder of the original Knights, and I chose that name in the first place as a title/rank there so I suppose we could use it, but....are you guys truly voting to use it here in this clan?

I am trying to make this clan as democratic as we can for most things, but I really want to make sure this is what you are saying.

I would like to hear from clan members on this topic.

I would, in particular, like to see Guest77 say something on this in addition to anyone else posting.

i like Champions, Gladiators and Nobles the best. The former 2 are my favorites though.

I think Champions is a good title, but it is a bit... Too honourable of a title unless "Members" get renamed to something a little more... Noble.

So I'd say Champions if we are to rename Members.
Knights or Lords if not.

Thanks for the input so far. I too think that if we rename Warriors, that we should rename Members as well.

I would like to hear more from the clan on this.

Vortex Clan League Round Four pairings have been posted. We are now matched up against Armifera Fatum.

Please begin whenever we can get a 2v2 available in game at the same time. The biggest challenge always seems to be being online at the same time.

With reluctance I have removed Mongooseiclon's name from the clan listing, at his request, since he has left the game.

We have lost one of the best there is. He will be greatly missed from the community.

Personally, I would take no offense at the term 'Knight' being used for those single-clan members. It is reminiscent of something that you, yourself, created and I could see why many people would like to see that come back, but then that comes with this caveat: would it seem like people are voting for it simply because that was originally your clan and would like to see it come back [in the form on this clan], a revival of sorts? If that's the case, then would they also want a change in name for the clan? What else would they like to see changed or possibly altered in any form?

I'd personally like to hear from those who voted for Knights as for their reasoning behind it: it can simply be because "it sounds cool" or something more in depth as to what you or I have previously mentioned or something different entirely.

Now, I don't think that, if Knight were to be chosen, that we'd necessarily need to rebrand, err, rename the clan, but it would seem (without any explanation from those who have voted for it) that they're simply trying to push the clan towards becoming the "new Knights [OTRT]."

Personally, I voted for Champions because it reminded me somewhat of the middle ages, where you'd have a "champion" of a royal house step forward to battle a "champion" from another for honor, glory, yada, yada, yada. The champions couldn't belong to multiple houses, and, well, that's essentially what the single-clan members here are: they belong to this "house [clan]." I did not vote for Knight, as I felt that that could be misinterpreted for the above reasoning, but I am not against it for the same reasons. I simply felt that, again where my (useless) extensive knowledge of the middle ages comes into play, Knights were more numerous than Champions, and single-clan members ought to be somewhat more, as Vortex_Master said, nobly named.

If the multi-clan members were to be renamed, we could simply move the title "Warrior" to that section, but that's also a completely different discussion to be had.



TL;DR: if you voted for "Knights," please explain why. I think everyone would like there to be as little confusion as possible as to why that was/will be chosen, if it does in fact win/tie.

I, ofc, voted for Warriors as one of my choices: It is part of the name of the game, and the clan. I think the title has power, but it is not even close in the polling.

I also voted for Captains, hoping that they might be seen as battle leaders or Team Captains, but everyone here (except Recruits) can be in or lead a battle, so I really don't want to be that restrictive.

My final vote was Champions which is an appropriate replacement for Warriors. I am now liking Champions to best describe our Single-Clan members.

If we are to do this - I now think we also need to rename Members, but want to know your views on that and the title of Knight. What happens if many of you are called Knights? That might be weird unless we considered a clan name change.

I think we have several options.

So, for now, still waiting to hear from all of you.....

I voted for Knights because I am very nostalgic about them. I believe this has been brought to your attention already Beatles but maybe we should do a ranking system similar to what WC has.
