I and some other people have recently said how annoying it is when someone quits or surrenders at the start of a game. A solution i have come up with is if you surrender or quit within the first few rounds you lose ten xp ( say up to round 4) . Then up to round 8 you lose 5 xp and after that no exp for quiting. This would stop the majority of people quiting early on and create more action filled game.it would include surrendering and quiting.

I'm cool with that too. A Negative for quitting so quickly.

No. Just give them no XP if they surrender in the first 4 turns.
When I start and I'm last, all my land is seperate and my distribution is horrible, I don't want to sit for 30 minutes as I have no chance of winning the game.

You do have a chance of winning the game. People who create an 8 play map want to play 8 players... not 4 or 5, because others quit right off. Makes the point of 8 player games pointless. Be a man (or woman), and stick it out. You will learn something.

Oh really? By the time it is my turn, I have
one territory with
one unit. I cannot even attack. Please explain how I have a chance of winning the game, or even taking one territory.
I don't quit when I can't win, but if the outcome is certain I quit.

Just make it 0 xp, some people have bad ISP or suddenly have to leave for unknown reasons.

Honestly, I'm fine with things as is, mostly because I end up using the neighbor's wifi and have a lot of connection issues as a result.

Well, join one of my games and I will show you. I win a plenty going last.

As have I. It's just a matter of playing carefully.

if you just don't give them any xp it don't mean they lose something for quiting. the idea is to make them lose something for quiting so that they don't quit.
