This thread is for the discussion of giving various races different +/- abilities. Here's a couple I've worked out:
Elves - Strength in Numbers
Elves base defense is only 90%. However this is modified +5% for every adjacent territory the player controls. So 2 adjacent territories = normal defense, and 3 = 105% defense.
Robots - Upgrade
Robots begin the game at 90% strength for attack and defense. However, for every enemy territory they capture, the robots steal some technology, giving +.5% to attack and defense power for the duration of the match.
Ninjas - Assassination
Ninjas are easily caught by surprise when on the defensive, reducing their defense by 10%. However, at the end of the ninja player's turn, each enemy territory with more than one unit in it has 10% chance of having a single unit killed. The number of units killed cannot exceed the number of units gained that turn. (So a single ninja can't go around and randomly stab 6 enemies in a turn.)
Any other ideas out there? Also, Lopdo, let us know if any of this would be too difficult to program, and we'll come up with alternate ideas.
