I realize that this might bring even more... how to say?... arguement about unfairness. But I was looking through similar games to this one, both multiperson and not and I realized that out of the items buyable or unlockable until you have reached a certain level. This could also mean levels would be worth more (although I realize most of those comments are just off this context but still) Anyway so I figure once you get to a certain level you can buy a new array of stuff in the shop. That could also works for achievements you could get, that way you would have a new 'mission' for each level. The other way it could work is that you got something special or a choice of gifts for leveling up. So maybe one or two 'special' races. Now I am most certainly not suggesting anything enormously powerful, just a new combination of bonuses and whatnot that you could only get at a certain level.

Hm.... From what I understand, in the 1.0 beta you got a new race each level or few levels or whatever. Unlocking new stuff in the shop to buy after level milestones like that would make it seem more meaningful, good idea. I think bonuses and perks would be too complex and overpower other players. What really seems neat is that whole level objective thing. With some more creative achievements, that could really work.

1.0 was when it came out of beta :P

Shard were already implemented then, it was 0.15 (last pre-1.0) where shards where introduced. Before 0.15 they had that.

Thank you for feedback, I do agree. The extra shop stuff would be quite powerful unless it was for every say 9 lvls. But yes if there was extra content available it would be better. It can fit into a lot of those challenges things (see that post). I also thought that you could have a backround or new look somewhere for new levels. For instance the buttons on menu could be violet or something when you got new level, or you could change it. You would only get it with new level though. It could also be things that other people would notice when playing game. For instance when you chat the letters could be grey or something or the backround where your colour is could have a new 'texture'. You know those. It would give you no advantage except you would look better :)
