Start Locations

possibly as part of the Capital system or just an upgrade to the map editor, a way to flag starting regions for players. This would allow very fair, or very one sided, scenarios. Combined with teams, things like exploring, capture the flag, all against one and a few other game variants would emerge easily. A simple check box would turn on 'suggested start regions' for maps that chose to include them.

I was thinking that to, I was going to eventually post it, but i didn't feel anybody would care.

Im actually about to start a thread for map editor improvements, this among other things are going to be in it. While Lop might not want to change gameplay too much, the community seems to want some new modes, Im going to outline a few things in the map editor that would let map creators combine a few options and create a wide variety of game types, such as capture the flag, explore a dungeon and team based play. Ideally this can be implemented so players can have a lot of control over maps and spawn new ideas to really get the kind of game out of it they want. I love this game a lot, but would like a few things to spice it up.
