Turn Order Advantage in Conquest Mode

In Conquest mode, it seems that the earlier turns often have an unreasonably large advantage over later players because they place first and attack first. It seems like this could be balanced by having the initial placement cycle be reversed or offset from the attack cycle (e.g. place first, attack last; or place first attack 5th in an 8-player game).

This would make initial placement more interesting ("Is this corner still a viable position when 7 other people will take turns before me?") and would give late-turn players a slightly better chance at victory.

If this would be considered "reversing the order of turn 2", I do apologize.

On most maps when placing you regions manually the idea is to think about being last to use for your own advantage.
For instance, if I'm the 6th,7th or 8th to start I plant myself in the position to overtake an opponent in a bad position (leaving him exposed to others while needing to fight me back or blocking him in the 2nd turn).
Also there on occasion you can plant by a guest, add a thunder shield and most likely win, since he can't use boosts to attack :) This one is sneaky. On the other hand placing by others is also a good idea with a thunder shield (Race basically has no impact up to troops). Does the trick every 3 out of 4 times, since most people don't attack instantly, so it's a matter of who builds up more tactically ;)
