Actually thats not a "new method" but rather new possibility to vote. Right after being defeated or wining on user made map, on the "Game Over" screen there should be "Your map rating:" field with + and - where you could optionaly rate the map you've just played (or see your rating if you've already voted). That would help a lot and encourage to voting.

I agree. It would be the better method for rating maps in general.

Nice idea but it would be better to have 5 stars then you can give ratings. 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5 and 5.
