I personally like it. It brings this board, which can get a bit dreary at times, a little cheer.

I don't like it for exactly the same reason, it stands out too much from the rest of the board

8 more? where did you get that? :) there is unspecified amount of new races in development, we have 3 prepared, 2 half done and couple more planned (but work on them didn't start yet)

I will not be making changes to visuals for races, they are currently biggest (byte-wise) part of the game and it is already too big for my taste, bill for traffic will be huge :(

Though to be fair, there's only 6 there. I misremembered the count.

I like this idea. Meaby with different bounusses but ist good.
Level 25

Matches (Played/Win) = 978/466 C/L
(Played/Win) Ratio = 2.10 (2.00)*
Regions (Conquered/Lost) = 10605/7287 W/S
(Conquer/Lost) Ratio = 1.46 (1.50)*

*Last time calculated.
Date of calculating:
21.11.2011 10:52 (GMT+1)

Bounty42 wrote:How would you handle people who change races? Do you give it to the Race you're playing at the time you level, or do you need to create array space with game information about each of the 8 races for each player?

What happens when a new race is introduced? They've hinted there are 8 more in development.

Awesome idea, but implementation under the current setup would be prohibitively complicated.

Yes, the information that each player uses will be bigger. Each race will have its own experience and its own level. But I dont think this is a mayor problem, there are only 8 races now. Lets imagine that there are 10, so the game will need to store 10 more numbers (for the current xp of each race) and ten more (for the current lvl of the race). Is the databse able to handle that extra ammount of information? Well, i think Lopdo is the only one who knows that. Will (for example) ArmorGames increment the available space? i think this will depend in the popularity of the game.

Lopdo wrote:cool idea, but that would make old players too strong and new players wouldn't stand a fair chance

Lopdo, you could make a tipe of game called "New Players Game", where only players of lvl 7 or less can enter. If the player whants to play a game with old players, he can also do it.

But as chess sais:
chess435 wrote:You do realize that under the current system, bonuses of 3% and under won't really boost affect die rolls at all, due to the rounding system.

The bonuses aren't TOO big enough to make an important difference bettwen old and new players. Only a lvl 5 race can really unbalance the game. But as I've said, the bonuses i've invented are only orientative. They need to be tested.

I am glad that so many people replied to my post, thaks to all.

PS: sorry for my english XD

There is already a min lvl option in the game creation, maybe a max lvl option would be better than "new players game"
