While we are at it, we might also increase rank bonus for more player games, something like (K*n-K/2*(r-1)), where K would go from 10 (2 players) to 20,30 or even more for 8 players.

How about:
2- 10
3 - 13
4 - 16
5 - 20
6 - 23
7 - 26
8 - 30

As far as I am concerned, the number of players, and hence where you exit the game (rank wise), should make a pretty big difference. It can be much more time consuming, and is much harder to win.

I still would like to see a level stat included too :), but understand if you don't include.

Agreed, that's why I am suggesting non-linear increase in xp reward

Okay, here's my shot at it.

Xp gained per territory captured: .4+(.1n)+(.01l), where l is the level of the player you captured the territory from.
+1 Bonus xp for successfully capturing or defending when you have less troops
End of game bonus: 5+(.02bt)/r

Where b is a factor based on the number of players (see above post)
t is the combined total level of all players
r is your final placement

All doubled, of course, if you're premium

Edit: Removed unnecessary multiplication symbols
Edit 2: You only get the 5 bonus xp at end of game if you don't surrender.

Ok, so I implemented algorithm for xp reward that Techgump suggested, what should we do with shards?

I dunno. I never paid enough attention to them, so not sure anything different needs to be done.

there is only one problem, you can start 2 player game and take each others regions until you get bored and you can farm shards easily, I would like to prevent that

I see, yes. Maybe also make it based on player amount. It is equally fair to assume with a 2 player game that it is much easier to earn shards than an 8 player game.

Currently it is 1 shard per enemy territory conquered? What about territories that are left over from someone surrendering? No one seems to know that answer.

How about n/8 for each property, where n is the number of starting players?
