I just think a random monster that roams around is a nice idea to shake up gameplay. also its very easy to put into play.

Yeah, it would be, but it would have to be a special version of Attrition.
If it's not, it would be Impossible.

it would work in HC, you just need to win against an 8 two rolls in the same turn. a 7 or 8 can do that, even without a boost.

I never said it should be a ten. I said it should be an 8 that reset to 8 and got both boosts every turn.
