How about those U.S. women huh? Really big win for the U.S., and Abby Wambach goes out with a World Cup win!

The world calls it Football.

Americans are the largest group on the forums, so I speak to be understood. Besides, you can blame the English for "soccer" anyway. It isn't really our fault.

The United States and Japan, both the Women's cups finalists, say soccer. As do the people of Canada, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and much of Ireland. So, in fact, most English speakers outside of the UK would say soccer.

Of course I googled it, do you think I just have this information stored in the back of my head, just in case it ever becomes relevant?

There are books or magazines you could have read it in. I know that personally, wacky facts like that one stick in my head just from their sheer oddness.

U.S. will lose to Scotland as well. We lost our first game to a bunch of chumps.

The Rugby World Cup.

Scotland 39 - U. S. A. 16

Hard fought first half with U.S.A. deservedly leading as the whistle blew for half time. But the Scots make a few changes and bring in there more experienced for the second half.

Well played U.S.A.

The 4th October - St.James Park Scotland V South Africa.
Scotland The Brave
