Please we need members (the more the merrier) even if the VW forum has grown a lot lately.

My opinion is that there is a big difference between in-game guests and forum guests.

There are a large number of in-game guests that are either trolls or registered users on a mission to mess with you. I agree that most of them should register and not enter as guests. It is okay for guests to join and play in order to check out the game - but I should usually not see them in my games since I tend to play with higher levels. If I were a true guest - I would not want to mess with 5 high levels on my "checking out the game" mission. A true guest most likely plays simple, small maps for a while.

For the forum though - I think it is different. They cannot "do" anything but look - and that is a bit limited. I suspect the vast majority of forum guests are registered users that just want to read and see what is going on. If, while doing that, they get inspired to post something - they log in. Otherwise they appear as a guest - no harm done.

Never thought of that, because i auto sign in lol i would have to log out to be a guest :p

That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I've noticed how they often flock to hot topics so they are mostly registered users. Also they spend least time in the vortex subforum, clans next and general most, which backs this up

guests would be most interested in future updates, finding out more about vw or complaining

Furthermore, when I want to check for updates but don't want anyone to see I'm online, I start with guest and then log in as private so it doesn't say I'm there, I can check my PMs, and all the topics I need to look at are highlighted.
