What's so terrible about that bathroom?

Its a "squat toilet." You literally climb up onto the left of the box which the toilet sits in, hang onto some bars (behind the door in this pic) and squat. The toilets long because the train rocks back and forth. A few of these bathrooms were so foul into the trip, there was shit all over the floor. Note: the bag hanging is for shit paper. They do not flush paper in Thailand.

Sounds pretty mundane and ordinary and normal.

Yuck, I'd rather have a holiday in Iran than Thailand O.o

The train was bad. Public restrooms are bad, like most anywhere. The rest are fine. They use sprayers to clean ass (just like a kitchen sprayer in you sink) so the shit paper is mostly to dry ass.
