Bots are like automated programs that do what you tell them to do.

Google uses them to verify changes in sites so when you "Google" something you get the latest including recently added links. Anyone can create/use a bot - for good or for bad.

Ok, I know what bots do, but the only one I know that are good per se are Yahoo [Bot], Google [Bot], and Bing [Bot]. I have never heard of a search engine named Exabot.
