Vortex Wars

I saw the thread Bladehacks made and I saw no one really answered to it. Here's one I'd like you guys to participate in: Tell an interesting fact(or multiple facts) about your life. Interesting is subjective, so say whatever you might want to say about yourself.

I'll start:

- Vortex wars helped me get through fear of hexagons.
A few years ago, I had this Salvia trip where I had a vision about being a hexagon. (No bullshit, look up salvia.) Ever since, I had a hard time coping with hexagons. They scared the shit out of me. First time I opened vortex wars, I closed it right away, heavy breathing, limbs trembling, etc. but I was told it was fun, so slowly, slowly I started playing, and for a time, I didn't even realise the hexagons were there, and with time, I could accept the shape, once again.

Well I think we'll need some more replies to really get this thread started, so I'll add my two (or more) cents.

Let's see... I'm an Eagle Scout, so I go camping a TON. I love the outdoors and have gone white-water rafting, mountain climbing, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking to name a few. I get to go scuba diving the summer of 2013 down in the Florida Keys.

I've had a ton of mishaps while camping. I've camped in hail (many times), tornadoes (only three times thankfully), sleet, snow, frost. I've even slept in an igloo while camping I've gone over a waterfall in a canoe when the current caught the bow of it. Thankfully I only got a bad gash on my shin, a couple of bruises, and a couple of minor cuts; no broken bones or fractures.

I don't know how many times I've been had hypothermia.. At least twenty I'd say. The worst was probably after camping a weekend when it sleeted the whole time. After I got back to the house after a two-and-a-half hour drive with the heater running on full the whole time, I was still a full two degrees hypothermic. (I don't know what I was at the camp, didn't have a thermometer there.)

Ok, enough with the camping:

I study Greek, and am planning on studying Hebrew. (Probably not Latin, and I don't really know why lol)
I like clowning around in Old English just because it's so much fun
I love reading classical literature; it's definitely one of the things I look forward to.
History is another of my favorite things.
I play both indoor and outdoor soccer (football for the Europeans)
I play chess competitively in international tournaments.
I love hanging with my friends
And lastly, I like playing video games Especially Vortex Wars, ExitPath (1 not 2), and many others.

Like I said.. it was my two (or more) cents.

Interesting facts, let me think...

I hardly find a chair that lasts longer than few months under me. Last one just broke few days ago. Weld between telescope and seat just could not stand the pressure any longer. Was that interesting? I suppose not.

I've started learning C in primary school. Later I've tried pascal, C++, Lua, php. At high school I've already had some experience with python, rubby, Flash AS, Java, C#. Now I would not deny job as a cashier in a provincial shop. :p

At high school beak told me not to come for final programming and algorithms exams and gave me highest marks right away. I was also giving tutoring to other students from my year in both programming and maths. Yet somehow I've managed to fail all maths exams. At both first and second tries. Every time I've scored around 45% out of 50 that I needed to pass. I was offered one additional, "personal" try in front of the whole professors committee. I've rejected as it would be too stressful for me (at least that what I thought back then!).

Can I ask, what level of math?

I'm in Boy Scouts so I go camping a lot, once my tent mate thought it would be "funny" to unstake our tent and go "bowling" other tents, all of our patrol had a hard time getting out, I actually ended up slapping him...

Interesting fact: I was adopted twice.

Interesting fact: i work on Muscle cars on my days off or not playing vortex wars. I have a 1985 Monte carlo SS and a 73 Camaro. ( camaro has a lot of work but i drive the Monte carlo to my classes during the week.)
