Can I assume you're talking about the Baltimore 'protests'?

It's relatively isolated; at least smaller than it probably looks. That said, it's also a major problem. The looters, though certainly not the only group in this 'movement', can be fairly considered nothing more than shameful opportunists. The good news is we have the national guard, police, and even some wonderful civilian peacekeepers around to return some control. For all that some may criticize the initial reaction by the local government, I believe we, as a country, are moving in the right direction to bring all of this back under control. The reports we're hearing deal primarily with the worst of what's going on, as they should, but I hope we are able to keep a reasonable and open exchange of opinions about the relationship between the police and the people. In my humble opinion, I've tended to side with the police in many of these cases, at least in response to more extreme accusations against them. That's just me though, I know many across the country are waiting for some sort of reform, if that's what we want to call it, to deal with their perceived (and not always unfounded) feelings of injustice in the eyes of the law. In all likelihood, Baltimore is nowhere near the end, but we can still want for things to get worked out quickly.

Until then, all we can do is share our completely unoriginal opinions and pretend we are of the unique minority intelligent enough to see things as they really are. But it makes us feel better, and it makes us feel like we're making some sort of difference. So let's.

I belive you mean "riots" as this is no protest.
Thankfully we have the same opinion, yours being a more formal approach, you need to be a politican lol, but this is very close to me and my school was so paranoid as to put us in a form of lockdown as you couldnt leave class for any reason and if you were late - having to report to the nearest administrator. I have also seen various videos from both sides and side with the cops were people protest the govt. doesnt treat some groups as "fair " asothers but if your walking up to law enforcement yelling profane words and running away while being arrested you cant expect not to be shot as the worst case scenario which sadley has happened numerous times in the past few days. Sorry if i sound weird i typed this whole thing on a PS4 on screen keyboard, m hands hurt. :(

Man, I wish I could have a future in politics. But I'll never be good enough. Or tall enough.

How close are you to Baltimore? That sounds a bit extreme unless you're right on the outside edges of the city, given that a lot of the inner city schools are closed down for the day. I hope things work out though, if you're close enough that they feel the need to have a semi-lockdown then things are probably going to be different out of school too. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're responding to the violence and crime with a firm hand, but having a curfew where I live would suck. Having looters on the streets would also suck. It would all suck.

And in case you haven't seen it: ORIGINAL: Angry mother beats son for participating in Baltimore riots.

So ISIS apparently has new threats on America, specifically Maryland (Me -_-), California, Virginia, Illinois and Michigan. Great, I hate living next to DC.
Think this is true? Think a war is going to start just in time, for the majority of us Americans to be drafted? I believe you have to sign up for the dart thing at 18...

It's highly likely that we're going to be going to be putting a lot more force into that region soon. It's likely to be a main issue in the upcoming presidential election routine.

But just because we go to war doesn't mean we're using the draft. I sincerely doubt either of us will ever be drafted. On the other hand, I just got my results back for the ASVAB I took and I got like the highest sophomore score... dunno if that would help me.

And speaking of turning eighteen, I finally get to vote in 2016!!! I'm so excited!

Spoiler: show
Side note: The change to the threat level is just a safety provision. Think of FPCON as a security guide. "Bravo" level simply means being more careful, more checks on military bases and whatnot. We probably won't notice much changing.
