Can somebody who uses metric tell me something about that? Why do you use such a small unit as your base? Grams are so small... I still use them, but they are really small.

As for the English thing, English is used by people all around the world, it isn't represented by characters (like in Chinese), and it doesn't use weird accents on letters (like in Spanish).

Grams are small because it is needed in scientific and normal day shit quite often.

Not true, Tea with sugar is lovely. Coffee with sugar is disgusting, its not even right. Which is why I drink sweet tea and straight black coffee.
Coffee first in the morning and tea with lunch and supper.

Quite true. Plus, there are so many more ways than just grams. Centigrams, Decigrams, Milligrams, Decagrams, Kilograms, etc. So it isn't like you HAVE to use grams.
