My only suggestion is to seek advice from those closer to yourself , family and friends, its not wise to air your personnel grief openly.Shoud have kept it to pm's.But i am saddened at the turmoil your going through.

Simppi - A decent name for an annoying little bug, although more suited to cockroach

I need the tech help of the community... Google/YouTube has safety mode (and a few other things apparently) permanently locked on my computer. I have tried to turn it off in several different places, but it just reloads the page with safety mode still enabled. There is no way I have found to fix it. The problem is exactly the same with no account logged in and with alternative accounts I tried. It even followed when I tried two different web browsers (IE and Firefox), cleared my history/cache/settings completely, and restarted my computer. However, there is no problem at all on my phone or tablet; I have no issues using the same accounts. I can search or watch whatever I want to there.

So what's the deal? While I can still freely use other websites not affiliated with Google, anything that is is kind of unusable. I wouldn't have a problem if it just filtered porn or whatever, but safe search treats you like a five year old. For example, all YouTube video comments are blocked, random search results are hidden, and much of my music and news is restricted. It's frustrating and unnecessary. I really need your help. :/

maybe try restarting your modem

I don't see how it could help but since you haven't done it already who knows maybe a miracle will happen.

Here is a cut and paste for the YouTube situation:

Disable or enable Safety Mode

Safety mode is an opt-in setting available on the computer and mobile site that helps screen out potentially objectionable content that you may prefer not to see or don't want others in your family to stumble across while enjoying YouTube. You can think of this as a parental control setting for YouTube.

Computers found in libraries, universities and other public institutions may have Safety mode enabled by the system administrator. If you are using a public computer and can not disable Safety mode, contact your system administrator.

Enable or disable Safety mode :

Computer

1.Scroll to the bottom of any YouTube page and click the drop-down menu in the "Safety" section.
2.Select the On or Off option to enable or disable this feature.
Enable Safety Mode
Lock Safety mode:

If you wish for Safety mode to stay enabled for anyone using this browser, you must lock Safety mode.
1.Sign in to your YouTube account.
2.Scroll to the bottom of any YouTube page and click the drop-down menu in the "Safety" section.
3.Click "Lock safety mode on this browser."
4.Enter in your password again to lock safety mode on this browser.

Turn Safety mode off:
1.Scroll to the bottom of any YouTube page and click “Safety: On”.
2.Next, click the “off” option.
3.If you’ve locked Safety mode, you’ll be prompted to login and enter your username and password to confirm that you’d like to turn off Safety mode.
4.Once you’ve successfully logged in, scroll to the bottom of the page to turn Safety mode off.

Stuck in Safety mode even after attempting to disable?

If you’ve entered your username and password and Safety mode remains enabled, then you may wish to contact your system administrator for additional assistance.

Proxy settings maybe?
The school does the same thing with a specialized proxy, making you unable to change safety mode on searches of any kind.

Did you change your proxy recently?

Thats about all I know that hasn't been said.
BeatlesFan's Copy and paste help probably will work though.

I had to deal with this crap as while a while ago, if you make a account thats not 18 + for google, they will piss you off for ever more, but if you make an account (18+) clear everything on browser, restart comp, change settings, restart again and that was gg for me
-Damon, sure as hell doesn't look like it

They are going to put a woman on the $10 bill by 2020... I'm pushing for Eleanor Roosevelt.

Also, Alexander Hamilton is more important than Andrew Jackson. Totally should have used the $20.
