Nice book Drone603 but i'm sure it was made into a film , with Audie Murphy playing the lead role. The books i've been reading lately are by SVEN HASSEL, a danish born man ,enroled into the german army through necessity. He then deserts and imprisoned with dire choices of punishment , and chooses a penal regiment ,in which he learns there more to war than playing soldier. They are 14 books which i've read but could be more.

1.Reign of hell.
2.SS General.
3.Liquidate Paris.
4.Assignment Gestapo.
5.Monte Casino.
6.Wheels of terror.
7.The Legion of the Damned.
8.March Battalion.
9.The Bloody Road to Death.
10.Court Martial.
11.O.G.P.U. Prison.
12.Blitzfreeze.
13.The Commissar.

50 shades of grey, by EL James.

Just kidding, I'm actually reading The Darwin Awards 2, by Wendy Northcutt. It's true stories of people dying in stupid ways. A bit of black humour.
Xerxes:Let us reason. It would be a waste. It would be madness for you and your troops to perish because of a misunderstanding. There is much our cultures could share.
Leonidas:Haven't you noticed? We've been sharing our culture with you all morning.

After watching the TV drama SHARPE , i decided to to buy and collect the novels written by Bernard Cornwell , i also found the books have more dramactic and depth than the screen protrayed. But you also find that with most films also , that the director will drift to the more audience pleasing concept for profit. After reading some of his SHARPE novels i looked for other books written by Bernard Cornwell and was not displeased by his other works. So i'd reccommend anybody if they had the chance to read some of this mans work, it maybe not great but its keeps you turning those pages.
