So, Who *Is* Beaver? (Beaver Questions)

Seeing as Beaver is essentially the new developer for this game, I think it would be nice to know a little bit more about him in the context of VW, so I'm submitting a few questions that I hope I can get an answer to.

~ Why "Beaver"? I'm assuming it is a random name?
~ When did you first start playing Vortex Wars?
~ Are you very good at this game or are you a total noob?
~ What is your favorite mode/settings in Vortex Wars?
~ What is your favorite race in Vortex Wars?
~ When did you start working on Vortex Wars?
~ Why did you decide to work on Vortex Wars?
~ Is this "just a hobby" to you or is this something you will dedicate a considerable amount of time almost every day (or somewhere in between)?
~ Are you an active participant in the forums, or do you just browse here occasionally?
~ What are your hopes/goals for this game?

I will probably think of more questions later, but for now that is all I can think of.

I don't see him calling beaver a total noob anywhere. All I see is a user trying to get to know our admin a little better in good heart. There's no need to cause strife in yet another subforum.

I wanted a username that was an animal, but one most people wouldn't choose. I liked how beaver sounded. I don't really like or dislike the animal. It's been a couple years since I've used beaver when creating an account.

I started playing Vortex Wars in March, 2012.

I am probably an average player. I am a defensive player and like to see how long I can last before losing my last region.

My favorite game settings are 3 players, xxl random map, hardcore and borders.

I usually use reptiles or Frankenstein.

On April 12th, I started discussing with Lopdo ways he could overcome potential problems due to player.io having new owners. About 2 weeks later he started transferring the game to me. During the early part of May I started experimenting with possible options to rewrite the client into html5. I have enjoyed playing Vortex Wars, I enjoy creating games, and I've always wanted to try to put new life into an existing project.

Time-wise, this is like a part time job.

I am an active forum reader. I use a chrome extension to notify me of new posts and PMs. I don't think I would consider myself an active participant.

My hopes for the game are:
- A growing community that has a minimal number of negative experiences
- Regular updates to the software
- It would be nice if Vortex wars paid for itself. Maybe even enough to pay myself a couple pennies an hour.

Cheesy but funny, IMO. Anyway, it is true that I was not calling him a noob; rather, I was asking him if he was really good at the game, not good at the game, or somewhere in between. As far as him being better than I, I would not say that that's much of feat. I cannot play this game very often because I not only play other games but I choose to spend most of my free time practicing and learning stuff.
