VTIII PE Preparative Poll

Please vote on what type of matchups you would like to do for VTIII PE. This poll will setve two purposes. A. It will help me to see what people want to do and B it will help me to see how many people are interested in participating.

I just don't think any format with more than 2 people to a match will be feasible in terms of getting everybody to show up.

I won't even be trying anything over 1v1v1. I think it would be quite fun.

As for team matches, that can easily be arranged if it's 2v2's, after all we do clan matches don't we?

I voted for the teamed matches, although I would like to point out that with Clan matches we have at least twenty people who are fairly consistently active, along with several who are somewhat active, and they can all fill the spots we need.

Still, I love the VTs, and I have faith in your ability to keep it going anyway. :)

Hey Fang, how would you feel about Lopdo making the tourney even more official, with prizes and everything? There's a post about it on this thread.

I believe that 1vs1 is fine as it is, but I think we have to determine a game type (HC and Att, Borders and Manual, Full and conquer) that reduces first turn advantage as much as possible that all matches should be and the maps used and sizes of maps so that there isn't any debate over which game modes to use. Also deciding that all games should be best of 3, 5 or so on too.
The simple, the best.

I'm all over it, my whole goal with the tourney was to have it be official but fun. If Lopdo is able to help with that I am totally fine with it.

With what Lopdo has said about the tourneys and with the communities take on it, I will be changing a few aspects of the tourneys.

I'll make it a strict layout of game types which may or may not change each VT.
They will most likely be best of 5. (unless this causes problems with Lopdo's implementation.)
The rules will be made clearer and stricter.
The format of the front page of the VT will be cleaned up and unnceccesary information will be purged, then I will reorganize it and make it easier on the eyes.

Expect VTIII to be bigger, better, and most importantly, funner. Even if Lopdo isn't able to implement this into the game, I have a few plans for it to make bigger without his help.
