Terminator Guide - How do they work and are they good?

Cuz when i have like 3 spaces left of all 8's they do really well...
But not all the 7v8's are wins.

Okay, after seeing FM not so sure about how Terminators work, especially in our clan matches, I decided to make a mini guide as to how exactly Terminators work and when they are most effective! So now for some important and hopefully commonly thought questions...

When does the 15% Boost work?

Ah, most should know this, but in case you can't read, it adds on 15% of your final total of your rolls when attacking with a territory with less troops than your opponent. E.g. 7vs8 and 6vs7.

When do I have more of a chance of winning than my opponent?

I will be clear here, but no straight statistics because listing them probably will make most readers turn away, so heres a short explanation.

The chance of you winning 7vs8 is around 45% of the time. As you decrease, down to 6vs7, 5vs6... I'm afraid you have aan even lower chance of winning, decreasing as you go along. In these cases, if your opponent has got a defense boost, I recommend never attacking them (unless you're desperate) When your opponent hasn't got a defense boost, if you use an attack boost it will boost your chances to a nice amount, but remember as you get lower to numbers like 3vs4 or 2vs3, your chances will become unfavorable again.

On that note, I see often terminators attacking with a boost 2vs3 in games. Yes, sorry but you probably won't win this.

Is there anything else very important you are missing out?

Why yes there is! An important thing to note is that many players in attrition mode playing as Terminators attack 3vs6 for example, thinking that their race boost will probably kill 1 extra man; I can tell you for definite this will never happen. Lopdo confirmed that any race bonus %, from arachnids 5% to Terminator's 15% will never affect how many units the player you attack loses, nor the amount of units you have left. This might explain how you are always left with a 1 after attacking 7vs8.

I hope this guide at least helped you in some form of way or another. If you feel there is something I am missing or would like to request another, please feel free to do so!

EDIT Damn just found the VW dice simulator... well if you want Terminator victory probabilities plug the figures in herehttp://samrush.net/apps/dice/dice.php

Yea, thanks for taking your time writing that,
I was just unclear if it counted the regions or the number of units your battling with...
But now that i think about it....
it would say "Continuous regions" Like the werewolf and franks.
Maybe it's just my luck... Like always

Yeah that would be the case :P and I'd be using terminators instead of werewolves if that was the case :3
