Explanation on how Franks and Wolves work (no tables)

@Lopdo: Can you sticky this? I read in ''Frankensteins my new favourite race'' the confusion that Ozerf had when coming to understanding how Frankensteins bonus works. Also if you want I can try making a series of guides or explenations on how the mechanics in VW works (but of course I don't know the exact equations for certain mechanics in the game e.g. I don't know the attrition equation but know that the men lost is calculated before race bonus is considered) This could be a disclaimer of sorts? :D

But yeah to the main article! I'll try and make this as TL;DR as I can:

Frankenstein & Werewolves facts:
-When you own 1-5 territories you always have a 15% ATK/DEF bonus respectively;
-From 5 territories onwards, the ATK/DEF % bonus decreases gradually until you own 50% of the territories on the map until the ATK/DEF bonus becomes 0%
-Past owning 50% of the territories on the map the bonus is 0%
-*In attrition, If you would have lost without the bonus % ATK/DEF your soldier count always drops to 1

*Applies to all races with positive or negative ATK/DEF bonuses because the number of men lost from a battle is calculated before race bonus is factored in.

Now the next few points are a little complicated, but they are basically ambigueties to me that I have yet got information on:-The % could either gradually decrease from 15% to 0% or it could have a sudden drop at 6 territories then gradually decrease to 0%
-I don't know what happens to Frankenstein territories that have surrendered

Hope this helps! :D Necrocat219

Does it apply to natives bonus or not?

The race bonus acts as if you have more men than usual and is calculated before the dice is even rolled so it doesn't apply; natives bonus can affect atrition.

I don't actually know how to calculate it... I know it's possible from chess's calculations and somewhere on the forum BetaGen made one for 5% too.

I'm pretty sure you need Algebra.

Lol of course you do, I know how to calculate the individual probabilities of rolls but I have no idea how to calculate chances of winning. Probably needs the nCr function. Thats all I got! :lol:
